Today Tomorrowworld announced that the festival will not take place in 2016. After struggling with financial issues and a rain-plagued 2015, TomorrowWorld has cancelled its 2016 festival. The ID&T festival’s parent company, SFX Entertainment, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Feb. 1 and is currently auctioning off its music streaming/download platform, Beatport. TomorrowWorld spokesperson Debby Wilmsen told Atlanta Business Chronicle that “the festival will have a bright future in the United States,” adding that Tomorrowland’s Belgium and Brazil destination will continue running as normal.
