Disciples Win MTV Video Music Award ‘Best Electronic Video’ for “How Deep Is Your Love” with Calvin Harris
Shattering records with over 690 million YouTube plays, 400 million on Spotify, and over 4.9million sales across the globe, “How Deep Is Your Love,” last summer’s smash-hit from Calvin Harris and Disciples, can add a MTV Video Music Award to its already outstanding list of accomplishments. The lone electronic artists to win at this year’s awards ceremony, the music video took home the VMA in the ‘Best Electronic Video’ category, beating out fellow nominees The Chainsmokers, 99 Souls, Mike Posner and Afrojack.
BRIT-nominated trio Disciples – comprised of Nathan Duvall, Luke Mac and Gavin Kool – have been spreading their gospel all over the world. The trio first broke through when their deep groove-led production “They Don’t Know” was picked as Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune, becoming an underground anthem and their first charting hit. The Calvin Harris collaboration “How Deep Is Your Love” propelled them into the mainstream consciousness, hitting the Top 10 charts in over 74 countries and earning them a critically-acclaimed performance with Harris on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Writing, producing and singing on all of their own tracks, the trio recently released their follow up single “Daylight,” which is out now on FFRR.
