For the first time Mixmash Records will host the large auditorium during Dancefair on Sunday the fifth of March. The day will be packed with exclusive seminars, masterclasses by Laidback Luke, CMC$, Subgroover and much more.
Want to sign your track?
Mixmash Records is one of the oldest established dance labels in the Netherlands. Its founding father, Laidback Luke, will be the grand headliner on the Sunday line-up. With over two decades of experience in the industry, Luke will share some of his best kept secrets on how to get your tracks signed at a label. Furthermore, Mixmash Records will dive deep into the technical side of audioengineering and composing with musical mastermind CMC$. During his hour-long seminar, he will give you some exclusive insight in his upcoming release. Expect tips on melodies and how to turn your track into a great ‘song’.
An interesting spot on the program is reserved to discuss the road from Dancefair to Tomorrowland. This will be an in-depth case study on how Mixmash Records youngster Mark Villa was discovered on Dancefair two years ago and where he stands today. Another important seminar on creating a signature sound is hosted by Jack Wins. Making official remixes for Dua Lipa and Clean Bandit, you’ll learn about programming housy drums and creating catchy chord progressions.
Have your track mastered live by the Mixmaster (send your demo)
But if you are looking for a professional perspective on how to mix & master your tracks, Sunday is also your day. Bob Sandee (Subgroover), who has been working with all the heavy weights in the scene like Laidback Luke, KSHMR, Bassjackers and DJ Chuckie, will pick one demo from the attendees and will give it a royal Subgroover treatment. Make sure to send your demo to firstname.lastname@example.org and maybe Subgroover will master your track live at Dancefair!
Mixmash Records’ director: ‘We are excited to be one of the main hosts this year and looking forward to share as much knowledge as possible. As a label we are also constantly looking for talented producers so make sure to bring your best production to Dancefair and who knows!’
