Paul van Dyk, the German DJ who fell off the stage last week during a gig in Utrecht (The Netherlands) is fully conscious. The DJ is still in the hospital but it is expected that Paul van Dyk will fully recover from his injuries.
“We’d like to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for everyone’s overwhelming support for PvD this past week. We have very good news to report as Paul is fully conscious and now under normal care” writes his management on the Facebook page of Paul van Dyk.
Concussion and cracked vertebrae
“Paul did sustain a concussion and cracked vertebrae. Though he must remain under hospital care while his condition improves, we expect Paul to recover fully from his injuries. Paul deeply appreciates your support and looks forward to touring again as soon as possible.”
A State Of Trance Festival
The mainstage of the A State of Trance Festival was closed in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht, after Paul van Dyk fell meters down from the stage. He was taken to hospital immediately.
30,000 visitors at the festival
A State of Trance is, according to the organization, the largest indoor trance festival in the world. During this jubilee year all the musical highlights of the past fifteen years passed. Armin van Buuren is as each year the headliner of the indoor festival. The party was divided into four halls. There was place for 30,000 visitors.
