After releasing their hit single “Call Out,” Go Freek unveils the official remix package, out now on Insomniac Records. With the single reaching the #2 spot on the ARIA charts shortly after its release, the package is on track to follow suit, calling upon a wide range of upcoming talent and well known producers.
The EP kicks off with Billy Kenny’s rendition, a house-infused vibe with an infectious synth breakdown that incorporates industrial elements. Stranger delivers a progressive intro with sweeping heavy synths, while Taiki Nulight’s remix features a tension building lead-in, earth rattling bassline, and a drivingly catchy melody. Rounding out the remixes is Worthy’s bouncing house iteration, instilled with addictive rhythms, old school snares, and punching kicks.
Go Freek says, “This remix package is a dream for us, Billy Kenny, Taiki Nulight, Worthy and Stranger all dominated their mixes, and kept things innovative and fresh in the process. Its definitely the strongest remix package that has ever been put together around one of our releases, and we can’t wait to share them with the world!”
Known for pioneering the “gutter tech” genre, Go Freek have had a young, yet illustrious career within the electronic music industry. Initially signing to Australian dance music tastemaker Sweat It Out!, Go Freek quickly shot up the totem pole, becoming one of the label’s featured artists. The duo has produced hit after hit, with multiple ARIA Club Chart Top 10 entries under their belts including their track “Define,” which hit #1. The duo quickly garnered support from artists including Porter Robinson, Diplo, Claude Von Stroke and Yolanda be Cool, in addition to collaborating with Crookers, Steve Aoki and Bart B More. The pair look to continue their success through the rest of the year, with 2016 seeing forthcoming releases and an impending Australian tour.
